




Course Description:
The First Aid at Work course is designed to train individuals and company staff who require HSE approved first aid at work training to meet the requirements of the First Aid at Work (1981) Regulations. This course will provide all the required first aid skills necessary to manage a patient who is not breathing normally, is unconscious, bleeding or is ill or injured prior to the arrival of the emergency services. It also covers other topics such as COSHH, RIDDOR and
other first aid & health and safety at work information.
The First Aid at Work course is designed to meet the requirements of the HSE Health and Safety at Work (1981) Regulations for First Aid in the Workplace. Assessment of competence will be carried out by an independent external assessor.
Minimum age: 16 years
Length of the Course: 18 contact hours over a minimum of 3 days. Maximum number of students on a single course is 12. Minimum number of students required to run a course is 6.
Course certification:
On successful completion of the course and final assessment participants will be awarded a First Aid At Work certificate approved for the purpose of the Health and Safety (First Aid) regulations 1981, which is valid for three years.
